Testing and inspection of gasfitting work

All work relating to gas installation has to be tested and certified by appropriately registered persons, such as a Craftsman Gasfitter.
Gasfitters, who are responsible for the installation work, including alterations and additions, are required to test their work and provide a certificate to the consumer, the PG&D Board, and to the energy retailer.

No person is allowed to connect any gas installation to a gas supply system unless that gas installation has been tested and certified, and the records of such test have been made and forwarded to the appropriate authority.
