Outdoor gas appliances
With the wide variety of outdoor gas appliances available, it is easier than ever to create a highly desirable indoor–outdoor environment year round. And using gas to heat a spa or pool is a cost effective choice, making it more affordable to continue using the pool through the cooler months.

Barbecues
Modern gas barbecues include features that enable the cook to grill, bake, fry and roast. Barbecues can be permanently connected to operate on natural gas. Natural gas can be piped to the barbecue position and a bayonet point installed or fitted with an LPG bottle for portability.
Radiant heaters
Outdoor radiant heaters are effective in keeping people warm, even at low air temperatures. The heat radiates outwards, heating objects in the direct path of the heat, without wasting a lot of energy by heating air. Radiant heaters are available for operation on either natural gas or LPG. Infra-red heaters can be mounted on an outside wall or under an overhang, and patio heaters come mounted on their own pole.
Outdoor gas fires
In-built outdoor gas fires not only keep guests warm when entertaining outside, but also enhance the atmosphere. They are either open fronted or have glass doors. With some units there is the option of a fitted fan to distribute heat across a larger area.
Gas flares
Gas flares create a dramatic focal point. They bring a unique design touch to any project and provide an outdoor area with a special ambience that only naked flames can achieve. Gas flares are usually mounted in a bowl or surround, which can be manufactured to almost any design. The gas flares can be fixed via a support column to the ground, or mounted from buildings, where natural gas can be piped to the position or fitted with an LPG bottle for portability.
Installation
Outdoor appliances, being outdoors, are naturally ventilated, but they must have sufficient clearance from combustible surfaces or electrical wiring to ensure that with continuous operation the surfaces or wiring will not exceed 65°C above ambient. They must have a minimum of 3000mm clearance below eaves, balconies and other projections and from the ground.
