Laundry appliances
The powerful operation of a gas dryer delivers faster drying times. Clothes turn out less wrinkled and with less static than in an electric dryer. With computer controlled drying, the smart operation ensures an efficient and consistent drying cycle.
Installation
All gas dryers must be flued. Different flue options are available depending on the model: rear venting, side venting or venting through the base. They must not discharge into brickwork, chimneys, roof spaces or wall cavities. Where the flue extension is more than 900mm long, an access opening must be provided near the dryer for lint removal. Flues from electric dryers must not be used to flue gas dryers.
Gas dryer flue termination requirements are set down in NZS 5261:2003 Table 16. For more details, refer to Ventilation and flueing.
